Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These General Rental Terms and Conditions govern all bookings and rentals of trailers and commercial vehicles offered by <strong>Transloc<\/strong>. Any booking made with Transloc implies the renter\u2019s full acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. Vehicles Offered<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Transloc offers, among others, the following vehicles for rent:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Motorcycle trailers, with a maximum capacity of 3 motorcycles and subject to the payload indicated for each trailer;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A tipping trailer, subject to its authorised payload;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>Mercedes Sprinter L2H2 (2024)<\/strong> van.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The technical specifications, payloads, dimensions and any specific restrictions applicable to each vehicle are indicated on the relevant vehicle page. The renter undertakes to comply at all times with the technical and legal limits applicable to the rented vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Requirements for Renters and Drivers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The driver must hold a valid driving licence corresponding to the category of vehicle being used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A <strong>Category B driving licence at minimum<\/strong> is required, subject to any additional category that may be required by law depending on the towing vehicle, trailer and total authorised weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Transloc may request, before or at the time of vehicle collection:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A valid identity document;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A valid driving licence;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The renter\u2019s full contact details;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any other information reasonably required for the rental.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The renter remains fully responsible for the vehicle throughout the entire rental period. The vehicle may not be entrusted to another driver without Transloc prior approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. Booking<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bookings must in principle be made <strong>at least 24 hours before the scheduled collection time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This period allows Transloc to organise vehicle availability, inspection, preparation and, where necessary, maintenance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For urgent requests or bookings made less than 24 hours in advance, customers are invited to contact Transloc directly. Last-minute bookings remain subject to availability and Transloc\u2019s express approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A booking is only considered confirmed once it has been validated and the required payment has been received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5. Payment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prices are stated in Swiss francs (CHF), unless otherwise indicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bookings are confirmed once full payment has been received through the payment methods available on the website, including Stripe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cash payments are not accepted for the rental price unless expressly agreed by Transloc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the security deposit may be provided separately under the conditions set out in Article 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>6. Cancellation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cancellation is free of charge when made <strong>at least 48 hours before the scheduled collection time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If cancellation occurs less than 48 hours before the start of the rental: <strong>no refund will be issued.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The same applies in the event of a no-show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any cancellation request must be sent to Transloc using one of the official contact methods indicated on the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>7. Security Deposit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A security deposit is required for every rental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The applicable amounts are, in particular:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Trailers: CHF 250.\u2013<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Van: CHF 1,000.\u2013<\/strong>, unless a different amount is indicated at the time of booking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The security deposit may be provided:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>By <strong>bank card pre-authorisation \/ card hold<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Or in <strong>cash<\/strong>, where this option is accepted by Transloc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the case of a bank card pre-authorisation, the amount may be temporarily blocked by the bank without being immediately charged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The security deposit will be released or returned after the vehicle has been returned and inspected, subject in particular to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No damage being identified;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No additional charges being due;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compliance with the return conditions;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payment of any excess mileage;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payment for missing fuel;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any cleaning charges;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any other amount due in connection with the rental.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the event of damage or additional charges payable by the renter, Transloc reserves the right to retain all or part of the security deposit to cover the amounts due.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>8. Collection and Return Times<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vehicles may be <strong>collected and returned exclusively between 07:00 and 20:00<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the time of booking, the customer selects the preferred collection and return times within this time window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any collection before 07:00 or return after 20:00 must be expressly approved by Transloc in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Without prior approval, any vehicle returned after 20:00 may be considered as having been returned on the following day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In such a case, <strong>Transloc reserves the right to charge an additional rental day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>9. Rental Period<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rental period is the period stated in the booking confirmation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vehicle must be returned no later than the agreed date and time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any extension must be requested from Transloc and expressly confirmed by Transloc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Keeping the vehicle beyond the agreed return time does not constitute an accepted extension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>10. Late Return<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any delay must be reported to Transloc as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Depending on the duration and consequences of the delay, Transloc may charge:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An additional rental day;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any costs directly caused by the delay;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any costs or losses resulting from Transloc being unable to fulfil a subsequent booking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where applicable, these amounts may be deducted from the security deposit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>11. Vehicle Condition \u2013 Collection<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vehicle is provided to the renter in the condition recorded at the time of collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An inspection may be carried out before departure, including by means of photographs, videos or a condition report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The renter must immediately report to Transloc any damage, defect or abnormality observed before departure that has not already been documented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Failing this, any new damage identified upon return may be considered to have occurred during the rental period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>12. Vehicle Return<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vehicle must be returned:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At the agreed time;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the agreed location;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a condition comparable to that in which it was provided;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With all accessories, keys, documents and equipment;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a reasonably clean condition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additional charges may be applied in the event of excessive cleaning requirements, missing equipment or damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>13. Vehicle Use<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The renter undertakes to use the vehicle in accordance with its intended purpose and the manufacturer\u2019s instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In particular, it is prohibited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Exceed the authorised payload;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exceed the vehicle or trailer\u2019s technical capacities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the vehicle for illegal activities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any substance incompatible with safe driving;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take part in races, competitions or timed events;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the vehicle in a manner likely to cause abnormal wear or damage;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sublet the vehicle or make it available to a third party without authorisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The loading and securing of goods, motorcycles or other transported equipment remains the renter\u2019s responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>14. Traffic Offences, Fines and Administrative Charges<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The renter is fully responsible for any offence committed during the rental period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All fines, parking charges, tolls and other costs arising from use of the vehicle are the renter\u2019s responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where Transloc is required to carry out administrative procedures as a result of an offence committed by the renter, reasonable administrative fees may be charged in addition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>15. Fuel \u2013 Van<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The van must be returned with the agreed fuel level, including a full tank where this is specified at the time of collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Otherwise, Transloc may charge:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The cost of the missing fuel;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any associated refuelling service fee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>16. Mileage \u2013 Van<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the van, <strong>250 km per rental day are included<\/strong>, unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each additional kilometre is charged at:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CHF 0.95 \/ km.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mileage is determined based on the vehicle odometer at collection and return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>17. Accident, Damage, Theft or Breakdown<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the event of an accident, damage, attempted theft or theft, the renter must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Secure the scene where reasonably possible;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Notify Transloc immediately;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contact the relevant authorities where required;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obtain the necessary information concerning any third parties involved;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not admit liability on behalf of Transloc;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide Transloc with all relevant documents and information relating to the incident.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the event of a breakdown during the rental period, the renter must contact Transloc before arranging any repairs, except where immediate intervention is required in an emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>18. Insurance and Liability<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The renter is responsible for damage caused to the vehicle, its equipment or third parties within the limits provided by applicable law, insurance coverage and the rental agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An excess of up to <strong>CHF 1,500.\u2013<\/strong> may apply in the event of a claim, depending on the vehicle and circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Damage resulting in particular from misuse, overloading, gross negligence, breach of these General Terms and Conditions or unlawful use may remain fully payable by the renter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>19. Breakdown or Unavailability Before the Rental Begins<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the booked vehicle becomes unavailable before the start of the rental due to a breakdown, accident, delay caused by a previous renter or any other circumstance beyond Transloc\u2019s reasonable control, Transloc will endeavour to offer an alternative solution where reasonably possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, Transloc does not guarantee the availability of an equivalent replacement vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the booked vehicle cannot be provided, the amounts paid for the unfulfilled rental period may be refunded depending on the circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>20. Travel Abroad<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vehicles may be used in European countries authorised by Transloc and within the limits of the applicable insurance coverage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The renter is responsible for ensuring that they have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The required driving licences;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any necessary authorisations;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The legally required equipment;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And, for trailers, a towing vehicle that is compatible and legally authorised to tow the relevant load.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Transloc may restrict travel to certain countries or territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>21. Force Majeure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Transloc shall not be held liable for any delay or inability to perform all or part of the rental agreement due to an event reasonably beyond its control, including natural disasters, administrative restrictions, major accidents, unforeseen breakdowns or any other event of force majeure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>22. Personal Data<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Personal data collected in connection with bookings may be used, in particular, to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manage bookings;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify the renter\u2019s identity;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Process payments;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Handle contractual and administrative matters;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comply with applicable legal obligations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Personal data is processed in accordance with Transloc\u2019s Privacy Policy and applicable Swiss data protection law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>23. Amendments to the General Terms and Conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Transloc reserves the right to amend these General Terms and Conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The terms applicable to a booking are those accepted by the customer at the time the booking is confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>24. Governing Law and Jurisdiction<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These General Terms and Conditions are governed by <strong>Swiss law<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Subject to any mandatory legal provisions, any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of the canton in which Transloc has its registered office.<\/p>",
